Hi all! I’m very, very, VERY new to makeup, but I’ve run into a constant problem no matter what I do. My features are quite bold without makeup so every time I put on a little bit it just feels too glamorous / aggressive for most of the situations I wear it for. Here’s a comparison:

I am trying to use lighter purple pinks like ‘pink’ and white pencil on my lower waterline but have mixed success. Even with these adjustments, only the smallest touches will do, it is very easy to revive in intensity rather than in softness. I would be grateful for any advice on this! Also, if anyone has any general advice (I know my mix looks terrible in a photo, this is my next big project) I would really appreciate any resources that you think are good for my face! Cat Wholly Addicted pencil, “Rosy Nude”
Maybe try more of a glowy natural makeup look. You’re already so so gorg, it will just lift up your face and make you look more put together which is usually all I’m really going for on a day-to-day. Things like -tinted moisturizer -cream blush -glossy pink lip -and a good highlighter. Still do your thick dark brows and mascara lashes and you will have a makeup look, just not such night time glam one. I can share the products I use it you’re interested!
Oh also buying nice brushes seems annoying but it’s such a game changer! Makeup glides on and looks 1000x better.

You are seriously so gorgeous! Those cheeks bones! I’m just now wearing makeup as well so I can’t say this is great advice but maybe rounding out your lips with a liner and some concealer, as well as drawing your brows a bit longer maybe?
