My current version is NYX HD Eyeshadow Primer and I don’t really like it. Past loves are the UD base potion and Too Faced Shadow insurance. I would love to find a good one from an independent brand but open to anything. Edited for spelling and clarity
I’ve been using Pretty Vulgar Uncaged eyeshadow primer and it is wonderful, my favourite so far. Shadows stick really well without streaking and stay on morning til night, doesn’t feel sticky on the skin once it’s dry, doesn’t crease, and is basically translucent so it’s good for all or at least most skin tones.

Holy shit, the eye base by NYX is a primer?
I just use the white one as.. a base. I had no idea NYX claims it acts as a primer too (I checked their site just now) I swear this is because they want the product to seem more versatile.
It definitely just seems to be a base to me, a base colour to make eyeshadows pop more.. had no idea it was supposedly a cream shadow primer too.
I use the HD proof it primer by NYX and I love it. It’s waterproof and works like a charm in keeping the product in place. If you apply too much it can be really hard to blend though.
