New to makeup and trying to find a good drugstore / inexpensive face primer to put on before applying foundation. I was considering the primer for Ultra Beauty. Thoughts on this introduction? Does anyone have a cheap primer they really like? Thank you!!
If you want to smooth your texture I recommend the elf poreless putty primer! If you want a glow I recommend the Loreal Lumi Glotion!
What are you looking for in your primer? What do you want it to do primarily? Staying power, pore blurring, color correction, etc?
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I always get the best results when I have clean, moisturized skin, and give my SPF time to absorb before moving on to makeup. I say to moisturize (I use an oil-free moisturizer by Bliss) because otherwise I will have texture issues that are highlighted by makeup. For reference, I have oily skin.
Monistat CHAFING Gel. Yes, that’s right LOL I learned about it decades ago. It is an exact dupe for the original Smashbox primer. The main ingredient is dimethicone. It works great! I no longer use it only because my aging skin is very dry and it doesn’t work the same. I just googled an article if you’re interesting in reading about it. There are 100s of articles on line.
