Hi everyone, I am new to makeup! 🙂 I had a hard time finding my shadow in everything. I have tried too many foundations that are always too pale or too orange and it looks like there is no shadow for me! I am South East Asian, I have lighter skin and not pale, but I also have undertones of yellow and gold that make it look like I have a tan when I don’t. But today I wanted to ask about lipsticks! I currently own: Velvet Teddy by MAC – Shows a hotter pink on me Thicc by Fenty – Almost matches the color of my lips, especially the inner lip. It’s the perfect pink for everyday wear for me. Griselda by Fenty – Make my teeth white! Haha, but it suits me very well. It looks like a dark red-purple wine color on me and makes my skin glow. It compliments my golden / yellow undertones very well. I sampled a few other lip shades and pair best with reds, dark reds, burgundy, reddish plums. Velvet Teddy & Thicc is more pink on me and passed for everyday lipsticks. I want to find more shades like this, but I don’t want to keep buying and returning MAC lipsticks. 🙁 I want to buy 1 or 2 extra MAC tubes for daily use, I have already tried the following: Brave – It was too berry-ish for me, it didn’t look good. was deeper, that would be better Sultry Mauve – It didn’t go well with my skin tone, I wanted to love it but it made my lips inflamed because it looked too red / brown to me Twig – It was a bit like Brave , too berry-ish on me Whirl – Browns don’t look good on me: (See Sheer – It looked hot pink to me and didn’t work well with my skin. Can anyone suggest other shades for everyday use in the pink / nude spectrum?

I’m not sure if this will work for you, but my go-to MAC lipstick is Creme in Your Coffee and is probably the most wearable lipstick for my skin tone. I’ve also used Velvet Teddy before and it’s too light and leans pink for me as well. If you prefer mattes, you might prefer Spirit or Persistence, although the latter leans a bit orange on me depending on the look I’m going for.
