Blush is an essential step in the makeup process for adding a flush of natural color back to your face, after you cancel out all the original tones with your foundation base.
There are many different types of blush, but today we are focusing in on cream pot blush. Cream pot blushes contain a variety of shades and/or finishes of blush, housed in a circular, ‘potted’ component with a screw-top lid.
There are MANY different types of cream pot blushes, from a variety of different brands.
For this segment, I’m trying out 6 different branded (& popular!) cream pot blushes, & seeing which ones work & are worth the price tag – helping you to decide which ones are worth your time!
Lastly, I test EACH cream pot blush on a powdered surface versus a non-powdered surface to see, in which way, the blush is best used.
Please note – my blush placement isn’t precise in this series, I just kind of ‘throw it on there’.
🌟 Please Note: the last cream blush I test (from Fusion Beauty) LOOKED like a potted blush when I bought it, but it’s just a REALLY thick hinged compact upon inspection. I don’t really know what to consider this one.

+ Comments: feels very soft & creamy in the pot, applies well over powder (but takes some extra pressure blending it), looks good on both sides

+ Type of Finish: matte finish
+ Scent: herbal scent

+ Comments: feels very thick, dry, & stiff in the pot, applies well over powder, actually looks better over powder

+ Comments: feels very soft & creamy in pot, doesn’t work over power (picks up base), works best over unset base (but still doesn’t look that great)

▪️If I could reuse a blush tomorrow (based on color alone) – I would pick the ‘Revlon’ one, because the color is GORGEOUS!
