As I get older I want less stuff on my skin, I want something that only has minor coverage and is not sticky that I won’t have to put powder on. I’ve used so many products and I’m tired of having so many layers on my face, I just want foundation, liner / mascara and shadow and be done with it. I have fair olive skin and would prefer something non-liquid rather than a balm consistency. I have tried all kinds of bb and cc creams, the runny nature makes them messy and boring for me.
I saw that Bobbi Brown recently released a light coverage face balm. I haven’t tried it or anything, but it may be worth looking up.

I know it’s not what you meant as far as formula but have you tried just a light powder foundation? It’ll feel less heavy on the skin and obviously won’t need to be set, maybe that will be a good sort of compromise?
