Hello MY fam! I wanted to see if anyone could tell me about their experiences with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation and Clé De Peau Concealer Stick. Are any of them your holy grail? If yes, why? With my 40s, I’ve become a lot more conscientious and minimalist about my makeup purchases, but not in the way you might think. I am actually drawn to less luxury products as opposed to many drugstore products. The area where I really like to splurge is foundation products, while I refuse to spend more than $ 12 on mascara. What I’m really on the fence about is the Clé De Peau concealer, which is ridiculously expensive but people will not stop raving about it, and I wonder if it has any special qualities that are missing. to my current products: tart-shaped band for strong acne coverage, NARS Creamy Concealer for under-eye, NARS soft matte for versatility. Does anyone here know if Cle De Peau concealer has any benefits that my aforementioned products lack? I’m a firm believer in minimalism and only want to make a purchase if it adds a new quality that my current concealers don’t have. Heard so many great things about the transparent and skin-like result of the Chanel foundation, so I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy it, and wanted to know if anyone had any tips or advice. experiences to share about it. .

As someone who’s bought about 10 bottles of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua over the years, it’s my HG foundation. As you say, it’s quite sheer and has a beautiful natural finish, with light to buildable medium coverage. When I used to have oilier skin, I used to have to powder my t-zone about 5-6 hours after application, but otherwise, it has good staying power. You can use it however you like. When I feel fancy, I’ll use either a stippling or kabuki brush, but it is easily spreadable with just fingers. In fact I think fingers give it a slightly more skin-like finish, just from the warmth of the fingers while applying. For a more polished finish, brush is better.
Cons: some people don’t particularly like the scent, which is a light-fresh one, but that disappears once it has set (I personally like it, but scent is personal, so I get the dislike). It also has alcohol, which some people don’t like.
