Your foundation is a bit too warm/yellow. I believe you have either neutral or warm undertones.
How do you like liquid foundations? I think stick formulas are the most finicky to work with – in my experience they can be hard to blend, emphasize texture/dry spots and, on top of that, move around randomly. I’d suggest L’Oreal Infallible liquid foundation, which is very high coverage in my opinion, and the shades lean neutral, but it’s also very matte so it will emphasize some texture.
My first thought is that your moisturizer and sunscreen aren’t sitting well with your foundation. OR could be your foundation not meshing well with the primer. OR it could be the moisturizer or sunscreen with the primer. OR a combination of all those things.
Is your skin too dry after moisturizer and sunscreen you feel that you need a primer? IMO if your skin is properly prepped with skincare you don’t need primer.
Just had another thought: what kind of sunscreen is it? Physical or chemical? I can’t use physical sunscreens with most of my foundations because they don’t mesh well together and add a ton of texture I don’t have, and tend to cake up.
OP here — I’m new to makeup and the first thing I really want to learn how to do is foundation. My skin is a hot mess! I have rosacea, cystic acne scars, pigmentation, redness, dryness, texture, etc. Even professional MUAs have trouble with my skin.
Please let me know what you think and how I can improve! I really want to get my skin makeup looking flawless before moving on to more complicated things like eye makeup.

A good skincare routine before putting on any makeup, corrector on your blemishes and foundation isn’t a must, concealer does the job.
