Deck of Scarlet – Destination: Desert Palette ✌
👁 Look Created: Cut Crease/Halo Mix
⚫ Packaging: each eyeshadow pan size is 1.0g, thin rose gold cardboard packaging, magnetic closure, medium rectangle shape, mirror inside, pans are not intended to be removable, shade names are below each shadow
⚫ Type of Press: hard-press – barely any kickback in pan, no fallout on my face
⚫ Extra Information: March 2019 release, collaboration w/ Stephanie Lange, cruelty-free, paraben-free, nontoxic, phthalate-free, mineral oil-free, fragrance-free, 100% clean formula, vegan, 36-month PAO
💰 Price: $44.95 ($29.95 w/ subscription)
💲 Price: $4.50/shadow (or $3/shadow)
🔎 REVIEW:
🔸️Patchiness: no patchiness
🔸️Blendability: everything blended easily together with the slightest effort
🔸️Fallout: no fallout
🔸️Shade Variance: with 10 shades, you get enough variety to do a plethora of looks. You also get a nice range of light, midtone, & dark shades
🔸️Formula: the formula is actually really nice. You do not have to wet the shimmers to get intense payoff, & the mattes are definitely pigmented – the shade ‘Cactus’ is a complete dud shade, & useless
🔸️Packaging: cute, but doesn’t really stand out to me as being incredibly unique
🔸️Recommendation: I like the Deck of Scarlet formula, but not enough to ever subscribe to their service. At almost $50 for this 10-pan palette, it shouldn’t have ANY dud shades, yet it does. This is nice for everyday looks, & you could also amp it up for an event. I like this palette enough to keep it in my collection.
+ Favorite Shade: Scorched
– Least Favorite Shade: Cactus
