You may have a combination of deep set and prominent eyes! Sounds crazy and contradictory but please check out the youtube channel, called AdviseMyStyle, the guy, who is a make up artist does a lot of videos about different eye shapes and one is about this special combo.
I recommend watching Angelika Oles’ makeup videos on YouTube. I think she has a similar eye shape as you and mentions having to maneuver the eyeshadow brush to get in her crease so that her eyeshadow doesn’t look blotchy. Heads up, she has two channels, her bigger one is a commentary channel and her second one is a makeup channel. Hope this helps π
My first thought was that you have deep set eyes. However it is hard to tell from this photo.
You can do a simple test: try putting the lightest eyeshadow on your lid and then medium toned eyeshadow in the crease and slightly above, if it looks good then your eyes then they might be deep set.
Then try putting some darker eyeshadow on your lid (think smokey eye), if it looks good then you might have protruding eyes.
Anyways there are people for whom dark shadows just don’t work and it’s better to stay with light-medium palette.

Maybe they are deep-set? Not so good with eye shapes but maybe that’s why they seem hooded to you, since a lot of the makeup in your crease is gonna disappear when you open your eyes. That might be a place to start a youtube search anyway! You have a nice big lid space to work with tho π
No makeup in this photo. I cannot tell if I have hooded eyes, but I feel like my eyes look very different than the girls I watch who do makeup tutorials. When I do my makeup (which is few and far between because I know nothing about makeup and always look bad when I try) it may be the brush or brand of makeup I am using, but I never seem to look better, I just look βmessyβ or βblotchyβ for lack of a better word. The only thing I can get right is mascara haha. Eyeliner DOES NOT work for me as the cat eye again just looks sloppy or it makes my eyes red. Any and all eye-related makeup advice appreciated πππΌ
No, i think u have protruding eyes, but they arenβt hooded for sure
I would look at Allison Brie looks for makeup inspo, you have a very similar eye shape to her.
