So, I was checking out at Sephora a few days ago. And I saw the little mini hydro grip primer and decided that I should probably finally jump on that train. I tried it today and my skin has never been so textured. Granted, I only gave it one swipe and I might have dry skin today or something, but I exfoliated and moisturized before applying my makeup. has anyone else encountered this? I have combination skin. I really wanna love this product but oh my god my makeup looks awful today
So I’ve found it doesn’t mesh well with my everyday foundation- the ABH foundation. It pills up and then also separates, particular on my cheeks. However, it does work with my other foundations. I find it worked best when I would apply the primer and let it sink into my skin for at least 5 minutes before I applied my foundation over top. If it put my foundation on before it could dry down a little bit it was just a mess! Hope this helps 🙂
Hydrogrip is not a silicone primer and doesn’t play well with many foundations
