Hi! I bought a lot of lipsticks recently, wore them a few times and since I have to wear a face mask every day I quit. It’s the same with the foundation, because I don’t see the point in wearing it. How long does lipstick and foundation last? I am particularly worried about my mac lipsticks. I know there is a label on every product, but I have heard that a lot of people have had their mac lipsticks for years. What is your experience?

As long as they don’t separate or smell funny they’re fine…expiration dates are bunk
It depends on the product. *Liquid* lipsticks, mascara, and eyeliners generally should be tossed after their shelf life because of how much bacteria they can hold. Powders, regular lipsticks, eyeshadows, and some foundations can usually go past shelf life. Check for changes in scent / texture.
You can also use the batch code on your products to verify when they were made if you lose track of when you opened them.
