I recently threw away / gave away all of my eyeshadow palettes, most of them were expired, they didn’t meet my needs or I just had too many duplicates. The only one I kept was my ABH prism palette. I just wanted to make a fresh start and now I find myself quite lost. if you could give me some suggestions that would be absolutely wonderful. I really appreciate the colors, whether they are bright or pastel. and here is a [link](https://pin.it/7r4Yd6H) to one of my pinterest boards so you can see what I am 🙂 the makeup category is where I keep all my makeup inspo
So for starters, avoid jeffree star cosmetics and lime crime at all costs, **extremely** controversial and awful. But here are some good ones Glamlite Ice cream palette (they have other ones too but I plan on buying the ice cream one), Colourpop has good ones, really great quality and affordable like fade into hue, BH cosmetics is good, Beauty bay is very very affordable its a british brand but they have worldwide shipping, the colours are like up to 40 in a palette. Elfs bite sized eyeshadows (four shades) are really good from what I have heard. Black owned as far as I know, Juvias place has big pans, affordable with stellar pigmentation. Playing in makeup by yolondo has nice ones too, I have their jamrock wasichana palette.
I think you would love colourpop!
I have recently started a low buy 2021 and part of it is forcing myself to use one of the many palettes I bought in 2020. I rotated through my Tarte Pro Remix last week and it can create a lot of looks from neutral to glam and is very pigmented. I try not to commit to one brand because formulas can be vary, even in the same brand.
I don’t really like it but Juvias place has lots of colors.
Huda is my favorite brand for eyeshadow! I like getting her mini palettes for a more affordable splurge. There’s a lot to choose from, but my favorite is the Light Nude.
I was really impressed with the BH Cosmetics travel series. I have Love in London which has quite a few unique cool-toned shades like a metallic teal and rosy taupe. They are affordable but great quality.
Pat McGrath has her 5 pan Eye Ecstasy: Sublime palette on sale at $14 now, which I’ve read is a good affordable intro to PMG. I just ordered it and it should arrive in a couple days. PMG has amazing pigments, duochromes like no other.
I really recommend Colourpop Bare Necessities, bc it has a great range of very pigmented nude, gold, warm colors. I have it, and like it so far. They also have several tie-dye themed 9 pans that seem like would go with your colorful feminine Pinterest. So Jaded is also known for good jewel tone colors, and I feel like that and a nude palette like Bare Necessities could cover most ppl’s eyeshadow needs.
What do you think about duo chrome or ‘holographic’ highlighters? The $10 KVD Alchemist highlighter palette has some unique colors. I know KVD has some controversy, but I feel like they’ve tried to distance themselves from Kat, I can imagine that maybe the makeup company is trying to turn over a new leaf.
If you’re into indie brands, I would suggest nomad cosmetics! They curate palettes for different places they’ve traveled, and they all have cute little imprints. I really like the formula too. The owners are very kind, and usually leave a little handwritten note in the package.

Essence eyeshadow I found have been pretty good for the price
I just purged a huge amount of my palettes, too. I recently purchased the Natasha Denona bronze and glam palettes (both fabulous) for use in my basic, everyday look(s). I usually use the Colourpop Stone Cold Fox palette, though.
Melt would probably be a great option for you – their shadows are very vivid and pigmented!
If you’re into glitter, wet n wild has some really beautiful and super affordable glitter eyeshadow palettes. Matte/glitter all shades are highly pigmented I’ve tried the cosmic collision pallette
If you’re wanting to splurge on colour I would go for a sugar pill palette where you can choose the colours you want.
