Hello! I’ve coveted the Nars Pot Concealer for what feels like an eternity, but I just can’t justify the price. Does anyone here like and use pot / cream concealers? if so, what are some of your recommendations? I really want to start using them as I prefer them over liquid concealer, but I can’t seem to find a lot of them so I thought someone here might have some ideas! tyia! 🙂 (ps: I am very pale and sometimes I have a hard time finding color matches, so a good range of shades would be much appreciated!)
I bought the nars soft matte and honestly should have saved my money. It did not beat charlotte tilbury, it did not even beat elf liquid to be honest with you. You need very little product but unfortunately it dries down quickly, meaning that even if i do one eye at a time and set inbetween it creases horribly. The undertones and shades do not correspond well with their foundations and honestly I was just underwhelmed. I wish I had better info on this product ha
Okay. So I’m sick and when I am, I think I ramble more. So first off fellow pale girl(normal to oily skin type), I’m not a really a user of pot concealer but I do have some general advice that might send you in the right direction.
So first of maybe try looking at more makeup artistry brands, as cream high coverage products which can be sheered out are a makeup artists staple. Camera ready cosmetics are a great place to look for makeup artistry brands as they do try to cater more to makeup artists. Another, area I recommend is the more natural beauty space on YouTube. For, instance Amanda Z, Lisa Eldridge and Matilda on video. There is a preference for high end here but there is some discussion of more affordable makeup, not a lot but there is some. A warning with nars though, their products are quite yellow toned on the fair end of the spectrum. Their foundations are really bad for this not so much their concealers, it’s more manageable.
