I originally hired a MUA to do hair/makeup for my wedding, but now Iāll need to do my own for our tiny ceremony in May. I havenāt really worn makeup in months, so this was a challenge.
I would really like to get better at brows and foundation. My undereyes have really dark circles that show up really noticeably in profile shots. I also plan on making the eyeliner thinner next timeāI really struggled with the false eyelashes. My biggest takeaway is that I may be using too light of a hand, particularly with face products, for it to make a difference in photos.

Daaang! Amazing look. Your eyes look beautiful, and love the lippie color. At first I thought this was a face gains post on progresspics or loseit, your face looks more structured with the makeup!
I like it! My suggestions; add more blush and soften the top eyeliner by smudging with a darker eyeshadow shade and bringing the wing sliiiiighty out with that shade.
I think you did an amazing job šš» I think a little more nude blush on the tops of the cheekbones would be good, remember youāll be in pictures and that most lighting washes out your makeup. When I had my makeup done for my wedding I thought it looked a little garish in person, but it actually looks great in our wedding pics. Congrats!
Great job! May I suggest trying magnetic eyelashes? I tried glue on in the past and always struggled. The magnetic lashes are a total game changer. Easy to apply and last all day.
This is a great start! I agree with the other commentor as far as going heavier for the photographs. I also think that your skin could use a bit more glow, so I think just upping the amount of blush and highlight will work beautifully for you.
Lovely! I second the more/brighter blush recommendations. My fave for about 15 years is NARS blush in Sin.
I also think a lip shade that is a bit more berry toned rather than the nude/brown one you have on would really complement your complexion. It would make the whole look a touch more bridal.
Just my thoughts. I was a mua for 10 years and did mostly weddings.
It looks lovely! That lip colour is excellent on you. It might be just personal preference, but I would try brushing your eyebrows up at the centre, and fixing them with soap. I think it will life your eyes a bit and be a bit more fresh. Alexandra Anele has a fantastic tutorial on soap brows on YouTube! Best of luck with your big day!
Gonna go against the majority here and say that I think a different lip shade may suit the occasion better. That lip color looks great on you, but for a May wedding perhaps a more pink hue would be better. Maybe try Perla or Baci š

You look great – my only advice is to go a little heavier on the blush as the photos will wash you out.
It’s a hard balance between looking good in person AND in your photos.
I was very natural in person but very washed out in my photos and I regret that.
This is a great look for you! You did a really good job
