I have noticed that my foundation and concealer are separating (from a change in temperature it is cold in the room I am putting on and it is hot outside) or that it does not cover what I want. I researched the best tips for people with large pores. I have visible pores in the t zone but not so much in the forehead; however, the front is where I get a lot of the unevenness / separation. The rest of my face is quite beautiful apart from my big pores in my ass that show through. People have recommended a primer but I don’t like using them.
Could it be the finish of your foundation/concealer? I know dewy foundation emphasizes some people’s texture more than matte/natural.
Have you tried changing your application method as well? Sponges tend to soak up more product, giving less coverage. I use the elf foundation brush which is dense and soft so nice for buffing foundation into the skin. Same with the Real Techniques concealer brush, dense and nice for buffing concealer. Once I buff my foundation and it’s nicely blended I stipple the brush over my face to get rid of any streak marks, which might work for masking your texture, especially if you use a more matte/natural foundation like the Maybelline Matte and Poreless

u can apply the primer only in the areas that shows bigger pores.. it really is the only fix tbh. however, niacinamide really improved the look of my pores personally. ik nothing will shrink them but they honestly do look better
I have dry skin and usually foundation cracks on me because of texture. I think you could try moisturizer to prep your skin first but you can also just leave that area alone without foundation as well. Hope this helps!
