My wife has recently taken an interest in makeup and I would like to help her explore it. The lame thing to do would be gift certificates (to Sephora or Ulta, brands I know she loves), but I want to do better than that. My ideas were either a club product of the month or a virtual makeup consultation. Does anyone have any recommendations for either? For the consultations, I wasn’t thinking of celebrity MUAs (she doesn’t follow any) but of sympathetic individual practitioners, able to answer questions and able to deal with tangents (a good personal rapport would be key). Google found brand-specific consultations, but it wasn’t what I wanted. I appreciate the help in advance, as my knowledge of the subject is limited to one season of “Glow up”: P

If you’re looking for a subscription box, I think boxy charm is my favorite. $25 a month, full sized products, and they give you new products to try and explore.
I second the boxycharm. Totally worth the $25 a month. Usually with get brushes, eyeshadow, and a lip product in every box

You could get her a vanity or a nice light up mirror. Amazon has nice mirrors that can just sit on a table top
Ger her a set of nice brushes, a LED vanity mirror, and a yearly subscription to Ipsy or Boxycharm. For the latter, they offer subscription gift cards so that you don’t have to answer profile questions for her, she can do that once she activates the account. Check the sub’s lists of recommended products for the brush set and mirror.
Ask her girlfriends for advice?

I would suggest a vanity! She can always start small. But just having a space where you can sit down and do your makeup is the best!! And too she can watch YouTube and practice a long with it. Also a cheap ring light would be a great gift!! I love mine it’s so great when I don’t have natural lighting to do my makeup. Also a big mirror is super nice!
