I fell in love with the formula for this stuff when I was given a set of samples. It has a nice finish, applies beautifully, and plays so well with my combination skin. Unfortunately, there isn’t a single color in the range that has the yellow base that my part Chinese and part European skin tone needs; every available color seems unusually pink to me. Has anyone found a fooled formula with a different color range? I don’t care how much it costs.
Pat McGrath’s foundation! She was a consultant while building out Armani Beauty so her foundation’s feel and consistency is very similar to the Luminous Silk but with a wide shade range!
This isn’t really a foundation recommendation, but have you tried color mixers? They’re concentrated pigments in primary colors, you just have to add less than a drop, and they generally don’t change the texture of the foundation. Makeup Forever has one, and LA girl has them as well. I bought the MUF one in yellow, and it’s saved so many of my foundations!
Nars sheer glow for sure!
Nars is really good! There are many yellowy shades and undertones. They have multiple foundations each with a different finish. I would say ‘sheer glow’ and ‘luminous weightless’ is the closest to GA luminous silk. They have one called ‘radiant longwear’ which is a bit more matte.
Good luck hunting 🙂
Would you say your undertone is warm yellow or more golden?
