Hi all! Due to covid, we have to wear masks inside Ulta, and I need a little help finding a base match. Is there a way to find a match other than using what’s under my mask? I tried using the online match which is on the Ulta app, but it matched my skin with a foundation that was way too dark – I have to return this one to the store.
I would try matching to your neck or chest. I usually test foundations on my jawline and my chest anyways, because my face is lighter and if I only match there I end up looking washed out compared to the rest of me. So, if you like it to match your chest I’d just go with that, but if you want it to match your face I would compare your neck and chest and see which is closer (you also might be able to use your forehead if you’re going for a face match).
