Hi! I LOVE red lips and recently saw AOC’s Vogue track where she was about loving Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick. I would really love to get some sort of long lasting lipstick like this, but I struggle with reds. My hair / eyes / skin coloring is quite similar to [this](https://spacecoastdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Olive-Skin-580.jpg) – golden brown hair, warm light neutral olive skin and hazel eyes, with low overall contrast ( “Soft Autumn” in seasonal color). Lots of reds, despite my love for them, end up having a clowning effect on me! 🙁 Two “reds” that I found that are pretty good for me are Burt’s Bees [Redwood Forest](https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ffarm9.staticflickr.com%2F8666%2F16433309539_44aac08ec6_o.png&f=1&nofb=1) (the photo is not me), but it’s still a little more discreet than I hope, and Baremineral [Panko](https://www.temptalia.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/charlotte-tilbury_glowing-jen_006_lipswatch-350×350.jpg) (photo also not me), which is really more of a spicy coral. I really want something that reads more like real red, but I hope to avoid that Halloween wax effect, lol. Suggestions? Help me? Thank you in advance!!!

Those with olive skin tend to look wonderful in orange based reds.
Liquid Lipstick – L’Oréal Rouge Signature in “I Don’t”.
Regular lipstick – Mac in “Lady Danger”.
A cheaper alternative (but still fantastic), Rimmel Stay Matte in “Fire Starter”.
I’ve also found that Mac “Ruby Woo”, while a blue based red, is quite a universal red lipstick. My favourite high end red liquid lipstick is By Terry Lip Expert Matte in “10. My Red”.
Confidence is KEY when wearing a red lip. I used to get days where I felt ridiculous in red but now it’s my go to. Its a beautifully powerful colour 🙂
