I have very folded eyelids but I really want to do thick eyeliner wings and more eye shadow ‘out there’ but I always end up making my face a mess. No suggestion? This is what my eyes and face look like if it helps

I have very similar eyelids and struggle with thick eyeliner looks, too. I’m pretty new to bold makeup and I haven’t quite figured it out yet either. Just here to say that I feel you! (I’ll be checking back on this post for any tips that roll in, lol)
I have similar eyeshape issue with eyeliner and what ive found helps is i will have rather thin line in the inner 2/3rds of eye, then it goes up at an angle sorta like __// if that makes sense. Kinda looks like an airplane tail or a bat wing. You will see the angle that works when you look forward at mirror and it makes a straight line. then i do whatever fun things i what on the wing.
For fun eyeshadow i found i have to blend it out a bit more, so that is is visible on the upper fold of eyelid when eye is open.
I thjnk that is the key, when you are doing the makeup, to look at the mirror with eyes open often to see how it looks and adjust accordingly, or even apply with eye open. It gives you a more accurate idea of what is going on
Hooded eyes. I have them too. When making your cat eye don’t go aim sharply upwards. Turn your head to the side and aim towards top of ear. Oh, when applying eyeshadow since we don’t have much crease space we can create one. If you’d like to know more let me know!
I’ve got the same. It’s called an ‘epicanthic fold’. I usually copy hooded eye tutorials, and do my liquid eyeliner in an angular shape
I saw a winged eyeliner for hooded eyes tutorial by Crystal Lindy on YouTube, and her method works well for my hooded eyes. I also focus my shadow more above the natural crease, working mostly with the visible portions of my eyelid. Adapt looks to use the real estate you’ve got rather than putting a lot of effort into the parts of your lid that retreat out of sight when your eyes are open. Learning to do that completely changed how my eyes looked and you can actually see my makeup now.
