Absolutely beautiful! I wish more mature ladies would be opened to looks like this when I’m selling cosmetics. A lot of ladies with grey/half grey hair just assume they have to get the lightest shade of blonde. That’s not wrong, but I wish they’d know that their choice isn’t limited.
I just tried this product on Saturday and if you’ve ever used a brow pen before (I’ve used Ardell which I love and I’ve also used Stila), this pen is so easy to use.
I thought it would be trickier with the three little points, but the formula is less opaque than the other two I’ve tried, so it’s really easy to use, and natural so you don’t have to worry about over-applying or being too detailed.
The price is the highest of them of the three, but it’s got some nice shades, although I prefer the cooler tone of the Stila Medium Brow Pen, and the Ardell Soft Black to the Benefit Medium Brown which would be suitable for my dark brown hair and brows.
But really lovely easy to use product. I hope they extend the shades like they did for the other pencils.
My mother sent me a screenshot of this and was absolutely thrilled to see someone her age represented. To see her light up was amazing. I wish more beauty and fashion brands would recognise the huge market that exists for older men and women and cater more directly to them. Representation matters!
This is a great use of a model for a product. I wish more companies inspired diverse groups of potential consumers to purchase their products by using models that show how their products could be optimally used, not just slapping them on a photogenic model.
If you’ve watched Glow Up Series 1, they give Ellis older women in quite a few of the challenges, and he always treats them so respectfully. You can tell that each of them are so proud in his work afterwards, and it was such a touching part of the series for me, the way he treated them, the way they clearly felt beautiful afterwards, and his pride at how beautiful they were.
Just reminded me of that, it was probably my favourite bit of the series, tbh. I mean, why SHOULDN’T older women also get to feel beautiful? Many of them really and truly are.
I’m 45 and completely average in looks, maybe even on the lower end of average. Is what it is. But I would totally watch videos where people show women who look like me how to use makeup appropriately. All of the videos have beautiful women even without makeup and I’m just like, but she’s going to look beautiful no matter what. Where are the videos showing doughy middle aged women how to contour and look prettier?
Benefit does not have a great track record of inclusion in their line. Up until a few years ago their foundation line was not even dark enough for me. I am only medium skinned at NC40. I’m not massively excited by the use of one mature white model.
edit- to make it clear I was talking about their foundation line, but there is no black brow product either.
My mom (early 50’s) let me do her makeup not too long ago. I was going to use highlighter, brow filler and bronzer on her and she stopped me because that was for young people and not old women. It’s so sad that everything is marketed to younger women and old women feel left out.
In the end, she let me do her makeup and looked glamorous af with bronzed cheeks and cheekbones highlighted to the gods, but her first initial reaction made me so sad.
Loving the model, there should be more like her with every brand. Here in Ireland I used to always purchase brow products and get my brows waxed and shaped in the benefit bar, now it’s impossible as the prices have almost doubled.

Has anyone tried the L’Oreal one and this one?I really want to know how it compares to L’Oreal.
And for the on topic comment, I love seeing real people on ads, so refreshing! I hope this doesn’t come across negatively but this looks like the happiest lady and I want her to bake me cookies!
I love this so much! As I am now in my very very very late 20s, I’ve been having so much anxiety about getting older but seeing stuff like this makes me feel so much better about aging!
I think everyone likes to see models their own age, so the same product should be shown for different age brackets as it will look different on different ages.
I wish there were more mature models because make-up sits on your face differently when you get older. It’s just a different skin texture that isn’t covered by oily, dry, combo. It’s different so I want to see how it looks on older skin.

This is my issue with Charlotte Tilbury she always shows her products on stunning models.
I actually really like this pen! Just got it on Saturday.
I wish more brands would use people my age. I’m buying this product now because of this.
Me too! She’s beautiful ❤️

Now watch them post her photo without makeup and caption it “EW” again

I hope I look half as good at whatever age she is!
Her skin is glowing and she looks like a super fun person!
Fantastic model choice!!!👏
She’s stunning! I wish more beauty companies would stop treating the aging process like it’s a damn crime.
