Heyyy! So I recently bought the MAC Studio Fluid Foundation. C45. My skin type is combination (if that makes sense). Because of this foundation, I now have so many spots on my face that I have never had any with any foundation, even the cheapest ones. I used to scrub my face everyday with £ 1 shower gel and exfoliating gloves and never had a seizure. I now have a good skincare routine but since wearing it it has been a nightmare even with twice daily cleansing and hydration. The shade is perfect but every time I wear it it just keeps getting worse. Even my mom noticed how bad my skin was now. I never buy MAC products again, they are awful. Anyway I’m looking for an alternative, the more natural the better or at least free from silicones, carcinogens and endocrine disruptors please! I don’t know much about makeup so would appreciate any help choosing the right foundation. My Mac shade is C45 which is a shade suitable for a mixed race person with a yellow undertone. I’m a little yellow in winter but with the onset of summer I’m going to need a darker shade as well. Which brand would you recommend? I also use MAC’s concealer and contour palette which I plan to stop using once I find an alternative … Helpppp please Thanks x
Hi! Sorry to hear about your experience. I would first maybe try to find if you are allergic to an ingredient in the formulation of the foundation, so you can avoid it in the future!
As for foundation reccommendations, I know that Fenty and Rare have a lot of shades and I like the Fenty foundations a lot personally. Maybe also the Ilia one, the one with spf in it could be a good fit to what you’re looking for?
