** tl; dr: ** Lashify offers high quality products. Do I think their business is worth the extra $$$? Some of their sealants and tools, yes. Their eyelashes, no. There are much cheaper alternatives for this. I was cursed with thin, sparse, and straight eyelashes (yay Asian genes!) That I always envied for having full, flowing eyelashes. Mascara is definitely not for me. Eyelash extensions irritated my eyes. I tried a lot of semi-permanent eyelash solutions until I came across Lashify. At the time, Lashify * was * the best solution I had come across. I had used the system for a year and a half, and I definitely have mixed feelings about it. * What I liked about Lashify * * Lots of customization: they have lots of different styles of gossamer (lash group), from barely there to in your face volume. You have ultra black, funky colors and lashes suitable for girls with lighter hair. The range of sizes they offer (8mm-18mm) is definitely something not to be laughed at either. Basically you have a lot of space to create eyelash maps that are right for you. * Great Packaging: Lots of other DIY eyelash alternatives have crappy packaging. I have never had any issues with Lashify’s control kit. It did a good job protecting the eyelashes. * Innovative Products: I haven’t seen other alternatives to Night Bond, Glass, and the Fuse Control wand yet (I’ll explain more about this later!). I still use these items even though I have stopped using Lashify eyelashes. * Lashify (mostly) useful concierge service: This is an SMS service for asking questions about products or getting in touch with someone to change / cancel orders. It’s definitely better to be on hold with a customer service line. * Things I DON’T LIKE about Lashify * * Price: I was on their subscription service (Luxe Box) to get discounts on their products. Basic lashes are $ 10 and volume lashes are $ 18. Each eyelash cartridge came with 12 eyelash bunches. Because I’m a volume whore, I paid around $ 56-74 per month for all the lashes I liked to use. * Quality Control: I like my lashes to be floating and multi-dimensional, so I ended up liking Fluffy Lashes the most. They looked good when there were no production errors. More often than not, however, I would receive eyelashes that were crimped or snapped in half when I pulled them out of the cartridge. Lashify Concierge would partially reimburse me each time. It was still quite boring to deal with. * The CEO and the Facebook group: The CEO seems to be … not a nice person. She has made unnecessary remarks about MannyMUA, and she is VERY happy with the lawsuits regarding other brands that use similar application methods. The official FB group, while helpful, also allowed his behavior. It was a bit cult. I’m sure the CEO would pick me up after reading this, lol. * The eyelashes are not really reusable: I am aware that they are marketed for single use. The official FB group tried to suggest otherwise by soaking the gossamers in alcohol and repeating them if necessary. I mean, I SHOULD be able to reuse them if I pay full price for them, right? Well the point is, eyelashes NEVER look as good as when not in use. They lose the curl and crisscross pattern that makes them look beautiful in the first place. * Bonds: really overpriced. WhisperLight made me cry. Bondage (their stronger holding bond) works well at first. Something in the packaging is causing it to dry very quickly, as if it isn’t airtight enough? And honestly, Bondage is really similar to a lot of tacky faux black glue if you look at the ingredients. * Prep and cleanser: Meltaway is awesome, but it’s definitely not much different from any other two-phase eye makeup remover. PreCleanse can also be replaced with foam eyelash cleansers or witch hazel without any moisturizing properties. * What I am using now: * [see full list here!](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQUohpxo3rMWE2Wbez6U5T-Y3_kldTfoeIc8yF0v_9U7QIBUEeTwRrT3MC3gt8JRnNLQ7MFlbUbL6B6B: I have been [Missy ILash](https://www.missyilash.com/index.php). I happen to live near the store, although I’ve seen Youtube videos saying you can find them in various beauty stores. Each pair is $ 3 and of very good quality. I highly recommend getting a silk one, as real mink eyelash stripes are thiccccc. I have tried several styles and quite floating and multidimensional. Really gorgeous. I basically cut each strip into 4 segments, apply a thin layer of Dark House of Lashes glue to my lashes and lash strips, and then apply it under my lashes. I also wear a week’s clothes with them! & # x200B; Hope all of this has been helpful! I would be happy to take close ups of Missy eyelashes or answer any questions you have about Lashify / other eyelash systems!
