The coverage is really good, it’s a solid look, honestly.
But for contour and blush suck your cheek in like you’re making fish lips, and use the darker shade on in the hollows of your cheeks, and use the blush on the cheekbones, and at the height of the cheek bones a little pop is highlighter!
Edit: It also looks like you over drew your lips a little to give yourself a more outstanding cupid’sbow?
There’s nothing wrong with that but look into a color of lip liner that’s close to your natural lip color, and use that to map out the shape and fill it in, use that color all over your lip too and then apply the lipstick on top, it’ll help give it a more natural look. Also you can put a little but of highlighter to accentuate the cupid’s bow as well! I don’t do it myself for the full lip, just the little M shape of the bow itself.
Takes getting used to, but this is a good look for just experimenting!
Your base is really really good. Like REALLY really good.
Some general tips for your face shape would be:
– practice bringing your brows closer together. The general rule is to hold a pencil against the bridge of your nose and have them start there. Based on your preference, you can move then farther out or closer together if you like. You can draw them in using short strokes mimicking hairs. Tons of tips on YouTube 🙂
– I have the exact same eye shape as you, and even though it is super trendy, I don’t usually do a winged eyeliner. It makes my lids look heavy and I prefer not to. One thing that reportedly looks awesome that I have been meaning to try is “bat wing eyeliner.”
-for the bronzer, suck in your cheeks, and draw the bronzer in a line from your ear towards the corner of your mouth. Draw another line down from your ear to the corner of your jaw and then follow the jaw bone. Highlight the natural contours of your face by adding bronzer in places where a shadow is naturally cast. (Otherwise, draw a 3 starting at your temples, swoop underneath the cheekbones, and then around your jaw).
-lastly, if you place the blush on your cheekbone instead of the apples of your cheek (if you suck in your cheeks, it will be easy to see where to place it), it will highlight your face shape.
Lots of good advice on here. Just wanted to add my two cents: I would consider starting with a BB cream, then adding foundation. Dollar Tree makeup isn’t so bad and perfect for experimenting with technique. The YouTube makeup tutorials are helpful, too.
You did a great job a color matching your foundation. I’d bring your eyebrows a little closer with a pencil (the nyx brow works well for me) but your basic shape is good.
You’ve got your base down, but it looks a little flat. Add some color to your cheeks and a little highlight to your cheekbones and I think it’ll give your look more dimension.
This looks really great and lots of great tips I wish I had had in my early days of playing with makeup as well. The only think I would add is one of my biggest go to products is translucent powder. I use it to help set my foundation and concealer. I will also use it to define a shape up and contour/bronzer as well as to keep my mascara from transferring to the top of my eyelids. 🙂
My eyes are slightly hooded the way yours are, and I’ve learned that it really helps open my eyes up when I don’t use liner across my whole top lid. I only line from mid-lid to the outer corners, and sometimes tightline the top (lining the inside part of the lid) and that gives the liner look without closing off the eyes.
The shade of lipstick is perfect for you! I love a pop of color in an otherwise understated look.
5 days?!? Wow!! Good job!!!
Here’s my two cents: getting a good loose setting powder would, I think, really even you out. Go for “translucent” if you decide you want to give it a try 🙂
If you want to do the eyebrows closer, but you don’t want it to just look like you drew them on with a pencil, a naked mascara brush and your brow liner would allow you to kinda fake it.
If you want to over line the lips, make sure it’s a darker color. If you want to do this light color, the top commenter is correct; get a color close to your base and draw on what your desired lips should look like, and then lipstick on top. That was some really solid advice.
Your blush should be along your cheekbones. But what about my apples? You may ask. I add gold to my apples. That way, it gives it a little color without it looking like a spot of blush. Your cheeks are really good for this sort of technique.
Finally, I think you did just a great job on your base. Especially for a beginner, you really nailed it. And you did a great job on the shape of your eye. If you are feeling frisky, a little highlighter under your brow would go a long way to bring the shimmery look up a bit.
Overall, excellent job!!
curl your lashes a little more! it’ll open up your eyes more and make you look more present. i hold down the curler along the length of the last as opposed to just one spot so it’s a consistent curl throughout and gives it a nice lift. if your lashes droop after mascara then i find waterproof formulas hold the curl well. you look great!!
I have a similar eye shape to you, and if you’re feeling brave, you could pop some white or nude eyeliner onto your lower waterline. Both can make your eyes look more bright/open/awake. Nude is more natural, white really pops, but is obviously makeup, at least up close. I use liner on my lower waterline, but not everyone can comfortably put something there.
I really like the Maybelline tattoo studio liner for my waterline – it’s the best one I’ve found for going on the waterline really opaque and staying there.
(your foundation is a really good match, I struggled with that forever!)
I have some tips that I learned. Before applying foundation, prepare your skin, clean it and apply a moisturizer, then a sunscreen and foundation, to return the skin’s natural shade you can apply the appropriate contour for your type of face, for the lips, I think it would look better if before you apply the lipstick, go around your lip with a pencil the color of lipstick, and fill the lip a little, then apply the lipstick.
It looks like your foundation color is too dark. You’ll want to match that to your neck and chest. Using a lip brush may help you get a more precise application. Eyeliner looks good. Soft and smudgy.
The base is impressive. I’d recommend maybe a pore filling primer or a little bit of powder before foundation on areas with pores to blur the skin a bit but you’re pretty good already.
For the brows the shape could fit you a little better. The standard tip for shaping your brows is to 1) look forward 2) take a straight tool/pencil whatever 3) your beginning of your brow should align in a straight vertical with the side of your nose 4) look forward and align the tip of your nose with the pupil of your eye, the arch of the brow should be on that line
The lips could be a neater but I like the colour on you. Maybe try working with your shape first before overlining your lips
You have hooded eyes so eyeshadow/eye liner techniques that others do might not fit your eye shape. Try looking for tutorials for hooded, especially ‘bat wing eye liner’ it’s a really way to achieve a pretty wing on hooded eyes.
Outside of that I think you did a good job ! Keep it up !
I love your hair! And everyone has already said it but that foundation looks good. A tad dewy for me personally I try to keep blotting papers around. I love crazy highlight cheeks though so dewy hides my disco cheeks lol. Your brow color is perfect but I would work on drawing them a bit closer together. And maybe pop a clear gloss on the lips the matte lip is good but they would look fuller with a little shine. Great job! It took me months to get to where you got in 5 days!
Only tip I would add is to use an apricot colour corrector on any darker areas, like between your nose and lips. I have super dark purple and blue veins around my eyes and across my lower cheeks and from the bottom of my nose around my lips to my chin, and adding just the tiniest bit of colour correcting before foundation and concealer in those areas has really helped my skin to glow.
I didn’t start playing with makeup beyond lip balm and mascara till my 30’s, so you’re really pulling it off exceptionally quickly. Great to see! 🥰
Edit: it depends on your skin tone, but a pink colour corrector might work better!
Maybe try to blend your eyeshadow up higher towards your brows
Place it in your crease and blend it up
Otherwise nobody can see your hard work and you have a lot great space between your eyes and your brows to work with!
Sorry if you ddint asked for advice regarding the acne but i wouldnt put coverage yet at least not daily. It looks like you are having some type of skin rsensitivity or reactivity to something and most of it could be because of some food triggering it.
I would suggest looking into keto diet and dont eat anything with lactose , sugar , gluten, processed food or vegetable oils (thise are commonly the ones that trigger inmmune/alregic reactions) and im sure in a couple of months you will see some results!
As for the coverage perhaps you can try a tinted spf bb cream. I cant comment much more on the makeup because i suck at it and im also learning.
I would suggest a light powder over the face. Not heavy like baking, just a light dusting. Also, depending on your concealer coverage, I sometimes like to go concealer on acne, foundation, tiny bit more concealer. If it’s a heavier product or really full coverage, it might be a little much. Play around with it a little bit!
Wow… just wow… there’s nothing really that I can add here, you already have an amazing amount of quality input. I won’t bother with repeating. Maybe if you could share your goals in this journey… don’t be shy, whats the endgame? We WILL help!

great progress! the one tip i would give anyone when learning how to do makeup is portion control lol. use little product, only the amount you need to save money and of course, have a longer lasting look that doesn’t look cakey. skin prep is important too, make sure the skin is nice and hydrated and prepped for your foundation to avoid dry patches. brows used to be the hardest for me but only fill in sparce areas and when reshaping the brow, dont draw another line at the top of your brow, only use hairlike stroke to shape it. colour correcting can sometimes be useful, my top lip can show a tinge of green no matter what foundation i wear so wearing a peach colour corrector would help with that

Definitely color correct to take alot of the extra redness out of your face.
You need some bronzer, blush and bring they eyebrows closer then you will be so hot ☀️
