I’m looking for a good set of brushes, both for the face and for the eyes. When I started playing around with makeup more while on lockdown, I bought a cheaper set from amazon after reading a lot of reviews on different sets before buying the ones I have. I picked up a few random from my ipsy and boxy charm, and just buy some myself. I recently purchased the elf precision brush (the big fluffy one) and also the elf taper foundation brush. Well I haven’t used either one yet and they fluffy are falling all over the place! 🙁 My first set from Amazon is holding on tight but starting to get a little rough around the edges lol. I checked the Morphe MUA starter kit but none are numbered. Anyway, any suggestions? Thanks in advance !! Dee
Real techniques is my go to. They last forever and hold their shape as well. Also great at picking up the pigment.
I have a 10 year old eyeshadow brush set from Ecotools that cost about $10, I still use it every day. Don’t get any of those loose bristles coming out either.
BH Cosmetics has some pretty great brushes for cheap. They’ve got their own site and their available at Ulta as well. I’ve got their Crystal Zodiac 12 piece set and I absolutely love it.

I’m not sure if you’d consider them “affordable” but UNITS on beautylish looks promising. I’ve also used Sonia Kashuk brushes from Target in the past, and always found them to be excellent quality.
I like the colourpop stone cold make up brush set. The big fluffy powder brush is sooo soft

Morphe has a great selection, you can search mac dupes and find cheaper alternatives!
Normal Elf brushes are not my fav but i found [this elf collab set](https://www.elfcosmetics.com/retro-paradise-5pc-brush-set/83978.html?utm_content=gpla&gclid=CjwKCAjwqvyFBhB7EiwAER786cSg8NAfwqmz4wjcTSm376nluPYqQTbqdDbFUSO8nZzVKZtF__KFXhoC5nwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds) for like $5 at TJ Maxx and i adore it. The bristles haven’t been coming out, and the density on each of them is perfect for what I use them for. I have a feeling other elf collab sets would be great too.
Shopmissa has an in house brand called aoa and they are very affordable and surprisingly good
