I think the matte dark lips are pulling focus off the eyes right now. So I’d go with a mostly neutral face and some soft, slightly sparkly gloss on the lips. You have very full lips so a gloss will allow them to “shine” without pulling focus.
I notice that you seem to have deep set hooded eyes (which I do too) and not a ton of visible lid space (me too!). In these cases I do a “wash” of color across the lid up to the brow bone, and then a darker wash in the crease, then a pop of color in the corner, which it looks like you have done. I’d either go much sharper OR more soft and blended out—right now it feels a bit “in between” in terms of the blending.
Base wise, I think color correcting could really help. I notice in minority women especially (I am a black, Hispanic woman) we tend to have discoloration around our mouth or temple area— and it’ll make the foundation look gray on top. I color correct with an orange shade and it makes my base look a lot smoother and ready for contour. Nonetheless, I would say try to lightly cut your contour with powder, I think it looks really nice but the mix of the super blended contour yet dewy contour makes it seem a bit muddy. I’d also say to try and bring your blush and contour up higher. I notice when I put my contour and blush exactly on the hollows of my cheeks and the apples of my cheeks, it seems to drag my face down and look puffier (though this could just be me because without makeup I literally have no cheekbones lol)
I think the eyes are great but could use a little more blending on the outer edges. Personal preference, but I would tone down the contour and highlight for this particular look. It feels overwhelming with the bright eye shadows.
I like the emerald shadow more on you, but that is probably because I am partial to green. Both are good, no real criticism here, I think you would look better with a more mellow/natural lip color.
Hey! I like the look, but one small thing I like to do (I doubt it’s officially makeup approved tho). I like to use one of those white multi-use crayons and apply it to my eyelids before I put on any colorful eyeshadow because it brightens the colors a lot. For me, it helps a lot.
I think this looks great! I especially like the dark matte lipstick. It really suits you. My only minor criticism is that the shimmer on your green eye seems to be a little more bright/intense than the one on the blue eye, but idk that could just be the lighting. I have hooded eyes, too, and I like to wear colorful eyeshadow like this. My favorite makeup YouTube channel to watch is Annette’s Makeup Corner. She does a lot of colorful eye looks and she has what I’ve found to be the most useful tips for hooded eye makeup and for colorful makeup in general.
I actually really like it. Maybe prime the eyes before the shadow so your colors will be a little brighter. And maybe a nude lip so you don’t take away from the art on your eyes girl lol. You could also darker up the color on your crease, your shimmer on the lid will show up more that way. Keep it up! Looking good
I love the color choices! You are doing way better than I did when I started makeup, especially with blending out.
If there’s something I learned that helped me a lot, is that it’s sometimes better to “build up” the color. Like, adding a little more each time until you get that great pop of color.
Plus, for the blue side, you can use a lighter concealer before putting the eyeshadow. A light canvas will make it pop much more! Same with all colorful eyeshadows
The green suits your skin and eye color better than the blue, it looks gorgeous on you. Plus, you rock that lip!
I think green eye fits you waaay better, these colors match your natural tones 😀 and I don’t really get this trend with blushing the nose, it makes one looking ill/allergic imo

I would say experiment with bringing your crease color up a bit more in the center and front to make a bit more of a faux crease. With your eyes open, we can see some of the more intense (not blended) color in the outer corner, but not much in the middle/front of the crease because of the hood. You are blessed with lots of real estate between the hoods and your brows, you can totally take advantage of that! (I do not, unfortunately! Ha)
The way you connected the color under the lower lash line, as well as using some of the inner corner shimmer is perfect! Both are some of my favorite ways to use bold colors on my hooded eyes
Also, with the intensity of your lip/eye combo, you could definitely get away with a bolder brow if you were interested in one.
Beautiful job! Quick tip if you want to venture into brighter colors, use a lighter colored eye primer/concealer. When I do super bright colors I use a completely white base. It’s makes a big difference.

Other than that, I’m loving the mermaid essence!!

Don’t hate the eyes but love that lip colour on you
I don’t have much advice, but I do want to say I think both the green and the blue eyeshadow shades look lovely on you!

I think you did great with the blending of the eyeshadows, to be honest. Anything with that sparkle, especially green shadows, are the best!
