I grew up in an environment where everything feminine was treated as frivolous. I’m just starting to get started with things that make me feel feminine (I love gel nails). I’m not looking to do daily makeup but want to be able to have skills and tools for parties and occasions. I’m also 22 and broke down so I’m not open to buying a ton of different products without using most of them. I have been working on fair skin for a while and although I have a slight breakout right now I have the right tools and medications to control it. I have genetic dark circles and somewhat patchy eyebrows, so I mostly look for products to improve the appearance of these issues. I would also like to find a lipstick that looks good on me. I am not currently interested in heavy contouring. Products, styles, colors, resources (I’m a clear or deep winter)? I have very fair skin, large blue eyes, light brown eyebrows, and brown hair with blonde and red highlights, and occasionally freckles on the top of my forehead.
you start on youtube! i consider myself an amateur mua now after training myself extensively using youtube videos.
Yes 100% youtube that’s where the beauty community is mostly located
At 22 I would concentrate on skin care, double cleanse a hydrating toner or essance and a decent moisturizer. For makeup, a tinted moisturizer, consealer, a neutral pallet, mascara and a neutral lipstick. Then I would get a subscription to something like boxycharm to try out new items while you figure out your tastes and preferences.
