Hi all! I would like some help finding the best brush for my very sensitive skin. I’ve never had this problem before, but since I started using Retin-A for my acne, the brush I use for my foundation / setting powder is really stinging my face. This is a Sephora brand brush that I bought a long time ago. I’m up for an upgrade and looking for a foundation / setting / finishing powder brush that is SUPER DUPER soft so my skin doesn’t hurt. Ideas? Thank you in advance for your help!
I have pretty dry skin that doesn’t like anything harsh, and the brush I use most often is from B. cosmetics! it’s their bronzing brush but I find it works amazing for my powder, and it’s the softest ever, literally feels like touching something super luxurious and smooth.
it’s [this one](https://www.superdrug.com/Make-Up/Makeup-Tools/Make-Up-Brushes/Face-Brush/B-Bronzing-Brush/p/785511#pdp__details) just here, not too sure if you can get them outside the UK but if you can get your hands on one I believe it should work really well! x
Tangentially, are you using spf every single day and reapplying every 2-3 hours? Because sun exposure is when my face hurts with retinoids.
Also, if your face is sore when you’re sitting around doing nothing, consider using your retin A less often. I use differin once every 10 days because my skin can’t handle more than once a week.
Real Techniques brushes are my HG 👑
I don’t know how dense you prefer the bristles for powder foundation, but if skin sensitivity is the most important consideration, I think less dense would probably be best?
the powder brush & blush brush are suuuuper soft & fluffy — I use both every day.
