After 15 years of crappy skin, my face is finally clearing up (<3 u curology) but I still have uneven coloring and rosacea. I want to ratchet down my coverage to something that looks really natural and lets my skin show through while still taming my rosacea. I’ve been using Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in 1C Cameo but while I liked the moisturizing, it somehow managed to offer zero coverage and *also* turn my face orange. Spent a long time at Sephora trying to find other tinted moisturizers that actually offered a shade match (ugh get it together Nars) until I found this one.
I definitely appreciate the coverage amount – I’ve been applying the Laura Mercier with my fingers because it didn’t really matter, but now I’m thinking I might use a beauty blender, there’s enough pigment here. I think it’s a pretty noticeable different in that first picture – you can see the stripe going right down my nose!
Additionally, so far I’m SUPER happy with the Anastasia by Hollywood Brow Pen!!! I simply do not understand people who say they can use Brow Wiz to create hair like strokes. What?? It goes on like a crayon for me. It’s great as a less messy substitute for powder, which is why I use it, but I’ve never been able to create individual hairs. The Brown Pen worked really nicely at this. You can see the strokes on the inner/bushiest part of my eyebrows and I like it. I definitely need to work on my technique, but that’s on me, not the product, haha. I was thinking about going back to the old Dipbrow pomade + brush but ugh, it just takes me too long and it’s too much effort for me. I’m very glad I bought this instead.
