I think your concealer isn’t the right undertone for your skin. There is a good guide in r/PaleMUA on how to identify your undertone and how to ask for help in the sub if you’re having difficulty. Good luck and have fun!
The shade is too warm (yellow toned) for you. Do you know your undertone? How did you apply it? Fingers? Brush? Make sure to blend it out and make sure all areas of your face are covered.
Concealer – some people like their undereyes to be the same color as the rest of their skin. I like mine lighter to brighten my eyes. The color looks great if youāre wanting it to match your skin.
Mascara – put another coat on to see if that will make those beauties pop and bring them to life. If that doesnāt work you may not have the right kind of mascara.
Go to Sephora, if thereās one near you and just get a ton of samples and they can also help with undertones and color matching. Have fun with it! And there is nothing wrong with Minimal makeup if thatās what you’re into. š
If youāre just wanting to even out your skin tone you might want to give CC creams a try. The elf camo CC cream is a great option you can find in drugstores or order online. They tend to be lighter weight and go on really nicely with a flat head brush. Sometimes itās just trial and error till you find what works for you. Keep exploring!
I would suggest starting out with lower coverage base, bb creams, skin tints or powder foundations. They tend to be far more forgiving. You should personally look for colors labeled as cool/neutral. Makeup can be weird because none of the names make sense for the color that they are demonstrating. When you pick a base color online scroll down and open up the description box, often times the company will have the undertone there if the do not have the product labeled as such. A small amount of blush would look absolutely lovely on your face, a cool toned light pink draped from your temple diffused down your cheek bone may work nicely for you. You can also use the blush on you eyelid as a wash of color (use a fluffy eye blending brush) for a monochromatic look.
I personally love a good cushion foundation. Missha is lightweight & makes your skin look so pretty. I think your look is off to a good start. Maybe a little tinted gloss if you feel up for a little extra
First, you don’t look like you need the concealer – you’re young and have good skin, so why cover it? CC cream or a sheer foundation is probably enough. It’s tough these days to swatch cosmetics in-store, but maybe they can give you some samples to try at home. You want to try them on your jawline to see if they match (definitely go cool or neutral; don’t bother with yellow/gold/olive samples because they’re wrong for you).
For blush, pick something which matches the inside of your lip. I’d say a petal pink would work well for you.
You have a really pretty eyecolor – is it green with a bit of gold? Rosy and violet shades would probably look good, and you can always do a bit of gold accent too. Black eyeliner might look harsh, but an aubergine might be a good place to start.
Second, pick a style icon. Mine are Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, and Marylin Monroe, for example. My basic style is fairly vintage – crisp lines, eyeliner, a bit of smokiness to soften the look, big lashes, red lip. Aside from the fact that I like this particular style, it also matches my features.
So, whom do you like? What kind of looks always get your attention? It’s a good starting point because, as you’re growing into your identity, you might not always be able to articulate it, but you sure as hell can recognize it. When I picked mine, I was 35 and still not sure how to express who I was on the inside in a more visible way. I thought that you couldn’t be an academic and look vampy, but why not? So letting the vamp out actually made me a lot happier.
Choosing a few everyday looks will also dictate what products you need. I’d say a basic kit should include foundation, concealer for emergencies, a bronzer for contour (go light, since you’re pale), blush, highlighter, a brow kit, a couple of eyeliners, mascara, a small eye palette, a couple of lipsticks and matching lip liners (one nude, one bold), and a gloss. Oh, and a setting powder. In time, you’ll probably explore a lot more things, but too much at once can be overwhelming.
This is so exciting! You get to invent your image (or images) at a time when there’s so much beautiful stuff out there!

Make sure to pick up a blending sponge, like a Beauty Blender, or Real Techniques from the drugstore. They help you get nice even coverage! If you want to explore lipsticks, Maybelline has some great options. A cute neutral pink would look great on you!
Maybe try a more cool or neautral toned base, would recommend the colourpop tint moisturizerš¤, add some cute blush, maybe even some highlighter to make the look pop š and some colored lipgloss, would look natural but cute š§š»āāļø
You look pretty young so I imagine you have pretty oily or moist skin. You might want to check out some bare minerals powdered makeup. It’ll keep you from looking oily and shiny plus it won’t make your skin break out. It’s a nice subtle look to get you started. They have a huge color selection too.
I barely know anything about makeup as well, but i think the concealer doesn’t match your skin tone. It looks too yellow in the picture.
