I have been using eyelash serums for quite a while now so my lashes are really long. The (first world) problem this creates is that I can’t properly apply mascara without it covering my eyelid and freshly applied eye shadow … I’m looking in a mirror, but it doesn’t help much . I tried to hold a credit card over my eyes so the mascara would go over it instead of my eyelid, but it’s really hard to put my mascara on that way. It is also not an option to do my mascara first and then my eyeshadow as my lashes are so long and curl a bit, they cover my whole eyelid, it is difficult to maneuver my eye shadow brush. eyelids between my lashes … Does anyone have the golden advice for me?
I’ve never done this but just thinking about if from an engineering perspective, you could get a piece of tape longer than your eyelids, then stick another piece of tape across the middle of the sticky underside so the middle where your eye would be isn’t sticky? Then you could put the tape over your eye makeup without it sticking to it… sounds like a lot of work though, and like I said it’s untested, just an idea 😅 I’m curious to how other people solve this!
