……
Background Info (to combat bias):
Skin Type: normal
Foundation Preference: light-coverage, natural, satin-finish
……
Foundation: Makeup Revolution London ‘Conceal & Hydrate’ Radiance Foundation
Price: $12.00 (Revolution Beauty Website)
Shade: currently available in 16 shades, yet the product descriptor states that this foundation is supposed to have 50 unique shades. Mine is in ‘F7’ (medium skintones with a neutral undertone)
Scent: no; I do not smell anything with this foundation
Application Method: left 1/2 face with a foundation brush, right 1/2 face with a damp sponge
Dexterity Concerns: none
Oxidization: no; it doesn’t oxidize
Extra Information: contains hyaluronic acid in the formula for extra hydration, supposed to visibly plump your skin, smoothe out textured areas, & it won’t settle into fine lines or cling to dry patches. This product is cruelty-free (PETA-certified), vegan, 12-month PAO, made in Taiwan
Rules: no base primer, no powder, or setting spray – no other makeup to affect wear; just the foundation
Activity: moderate house-cleaning, sat outside in the heat (88°) for 1-hour, refrained from touching face at all times
……
⭐ Initial Application: (1200) whipped-like consistency, needed 3 pumps for full-face, prefer coverage on ‘damp-sponge’ side, full-coverage application, covered everything – redness, melasma, & dark blemishes, satin skin finish
……
🕑 2-Hour Mark: (1400) still wearable; looks like I just applied it. It does feel quite heavy on my face, though. Upon close-up inspection – it’s sitting kind of funny in my chin dip, & the finish is REALLY emphasizing the size of my pores on my cheeks.
……
🕔 5-Hour Mark: (1700) still wearable; still looks like I just applied it. Feels quite tacky to the touch. Some natural shine peeking through on my cheekbones. My smile lines look slightly more apparent.
……
🕗 8-Hour Mark: (2000) still wearable; NOW I’m starting to see some wear-down. I’m pretty shiny all over my entire face, it’s looking pretty cakey between my brows, the foundation has worn away in patches on my nose, & it’s sitting REALLY weird atop my upper lip area & side-of-nostrils. I would DEFINITELY touch-up now, at this point.
……
🕛 12-Hour Mark: (0000) still wearable – (with stipulations); in order to continue wearing this, it would need a small touch-up. I am extremely shiny, & showing patchiness on my cheek, nose, & upper lip areas. The foundation has only worn away on the center of my chin in a small area. It was going well until about the 10-hour mark, & then it was definitely a noticeable change.
……
🚦Rating: A
……
⭐ RATING LEGEND:
A = totally wow’d me
B = not the best, but I like it
C = personal bias, nothing wrong w/ product
D = this didn’t work out for me
F = I totally hate this
……
🤓 Final Thoughts:
▪️True Coverage: full
▪️True Finish: satin
▪️Shade Matching: foundation does NOT oxidize, so feel comfortable ordering the shade that most-closely matches your skintone
▪️Recommended Application Method: damp sponge
▪️Recommended Skin Type: dry/very dry
▪️Recommended MAX Wear Time: 10-hours (without touching up)
▪️Value – $17/ounce, I would consider this mid-end pricing (<$10=low-end; $11-$25=mid-end; $26-$60= high-end; >$61=luxury)
▪️Extra Information: I bought this before I stopped using hyaluronic acid, but the good news is that it’s REALLY low on the ingredients list. This foundation truly lived up to all of its initial claims. It did settle into my fine lines & get patchy on me after several hours of wearing it. Overall, I was impressed at just how nicely this wore. With some decent primers, a powder, & some setting spray – I’m sure it would be great for the long haul.
Holy cannoli thank you! I feel like a primer and powder will do well with the flaws. I’ve had such a hard time finding good foundations that don’t oxidize. For the price I’ll definitely check it out even if it doesn’t work for me.

I loooove this foundation. It’s the only drug store one that doesn’t make me look older or stick to my dry spots.
Your reviews are the best!
