I was addicted to makeup in high school and college, experimenting daily, spending the “night before” practicing new makeup techniques that I had planned to use. But I had moderate to severe acne. By giving up all my material possessions and traveling, I cured my acne naturally and didn’t wear any makeup for almost 10 years! Now that I’m in my 30s and advancing in my career, I’ve tried going back to full makeup, but what used to be acne has now healed and scarred my skin. So I generally look fine, but when I put on concealer it actually shows my worse scars, the liquid fills in the little scars so at each poc mark is a little white dot, while the raised part of the scar has no color. I have tried 3 different types of concealer. If I looked more professional I could earn more money to buy micro needles or pico.
You might try dermaplane, it’s less expensive than microneedling and you can do it at home or during a facial but does kind of the same thing. Makeup wise a good BB cream and a beauty blender should do the trick if you aren’t trying that currently.
Try to use some good prime underneath, one with a lot of silicones.
My friend had microdermablasion for the same issue. They are all gone now and she looks fabulous.
I have some scars all down the left side of my face from a dog bite and unfortunately I haven’t found anything that can keep makeup on scar tissue, not even sticky primers like milk hydrogrip.
