My MAC blush brush, while beautifully shaped, is old and washing has made the hairs quite rough (I’m pretty sure it goes back years when beauty magazines would tell you to wash them with baby shampoo. ) I’m a little disappointed to get rid of TBH. Now there are about 50 different blush brushes and I don’t know what to get just to put some blush on my face. Dish? Round? Synthetic? Natural hair? I have quite a few eye brushes and other face brushes, like foundation and highlighter, but only one blush brush. Recommendations? And / or some way to smooth out the bristles and save my current brush, at least as a backup? Thank you!
I’m a big fan of the Morphe M427. It’s a tapered duo fiber brush. I have a lot of blush brushes but I feel like this one lets me control the placement and intensity of my blush the best
I have brush shampoo specifically made for brushes, but I also thought baby shampoo was okay too because it’s gentle?
As far as brush recommendations I have and like Bare Minerals, Urban Decay & It Cosmetics. On the drugstore end of things, I like Real Techniques, Ecotools & Royal Langnickel blush brushes.
I use an angled Sigma brush (F40, Large Angled Contour) and I like using that type of brush because it helps add the product without being too heavy handed on less surface area, vs a wider, flatter brush would add too much on more surface area than desired.
I like Sigma brushes a lot, and I definitely recommend them. Only downside is that they can be expensive.
