My ointment has dried and I have no oil but I have petroleum jelly. Would it be okay to use it to mix it up? I appreciate any advice and thank you in advance for reading my post and the extra characters so this post is not deleted thank you very much
It will depend on the pomade – Vaseline is petroleum-based which causes a lot of makeup to break down (which is why you can use it as makeup-remover), which might make it blend with the pomade easier or might cause it to completely disintegrate…
I’ve found mixing a bit of brown eyeshadow (or whatever colour you need) into Vaseline can work as a brow pomade in a pinch.

Don’t use vaseline – it will most likely break down the pomade. Invest in a mixing medium instead, something like the Inglot Duraline to thin out the pomade.
