I have always had problems with mascara. My left eye seems to constantly water around the outside corner when wearing makeup (maybe without makeup, but I don’t notice). I also smile a lot, and it’s almost like it makes the watering even worse. When I wear waterproof mascara, the sprinkling leaves me with black bags under and around the outer corner of my eye, and I usually find myself with a red irritation around there constantly trying to rub off the water and makeup. I’ve tried adding things like a primer and extra waterproof coating, but nothing is really enough. I don’t usually wear makeup in my daily life. When I worked in customer service and as a waitress, I put it on because it was expected, but I always hated the experience of wearing it! I kind of always wished I could wear a bit of mascara in my everyday life as I always thought my lashes were a bit lacking, but it just wasn’t worth all the heartache …. until I heard about clear mascara and started to wonder if I could finally wear some !!! My lashes are of a very medium length, nothing fancy but they do exist and are very dark brown / black and tend to be straight (a few will be curled up at random though). If I were to curl my lashes and apply transparent mascara, do you think it would stay curly and look a little more defined? I don’t expect anything dramatic, but I’d love to find one that holds the curl and doesn’t flake and turn white. Does anyone have any recommendations for a clear mascara? Also, should I be concerned about thinning my eyelashes if I use it daily?
