Hi! So I’m badddddd at eyeliner I couldn’t do it even if my life depended on it but it’s so beautiful I wish I could learn it I have hooded eyes so people told me it was harder for me but if anyone has any tips / tools that I can use to improve myself in eyeliner I would be so happy š
Iāve started using medical tape; thereās a kind thatās used by aestheticians when lifting eyelashes thatās fairly thin and kind of plastic I found on amazon. If Iām in a rush I just stick a piece in either side from the outer corner of the eye towards the top of your ear (Iāll usually tap the sticky part a few times to bring down the stickiness a bit) and draw/brush a line straight over it as if you would normally draw eyeliner. The tape basically keeps the bottom line and corner sharp and clean. The angle you put your tape on determines how dramatic you want it.

it for sure is more difficult but not impossible, practice makes perfect as always! iād recommend to lower the angle of the wing so more towards the ear and not towards the end of your eyebrow which is what people usually recommend but it doesnāt work for everyone. always practice your eyeliner skills before taking of your make up in the evening so that it doesnāt matter if you mess up the first few times, thatās how i got my eyeliner to look nearly perfect!
I have hooded eyes also and I found that using drugstore brands was good as a beginner (mainly because I found they’re nowhere near as dark as some of the higher end brands LOL) so it was a lot less intimidating to use and you could practice getting the shape right without messing up your entire eye makeup look in one go. After I was confident with that, I moved onto darker eye liner products (like Stila Stay All Day waterproof eyeliner) which for me, required a lot more confidence. Keep on practicing, you will get there, I believe in you āŗļø
