So I have straight eyelashes. But I love makeup and just feel like I look silly wearing a full face because even with mascara you can’t see my lashes (I use an eyelash curler before and after application they fall flat) Anyone have any mascara tips and brands I can get?
I have the same problem. For years I just didn’t wear mascara, because I hated the way it weighed down my lashes.
I stay far far away from volumizing mascaras. I haven’t found one that doesn’t weigh down my lashes. I’m not the biggest fan of heavy lashes anyways, but even so I’d rather have my lashes hold a curl than look thick and voluminous.
My favorite mascara right now is the Milk Makeup Kush Mascara. It’s a lot thinner and more natural looking than most mascaras, but it’s the only thing that holds a curl for me.
I have straight lashes too! I use a lash primer and then use my holy grail lengthening mascara from Thrive Causemetics! This is the only mascara that doesn’t smudge or flake for me while holding my curl.
I would also suggest getting a lash lift because it keeps your lashes curled for 6-8 weeks and you can still use mascara on top of that for an extra oomph.

Try an eyelash primer. I loveeee the Lancôme idole mascara. That’s the only one I’ll wear if I don’t have on lashes bc I have the same issue. They also make a primer. Also you might benefit from eyelash perming.
Heated lash curler! Either using a blow dryer to warm a normal one, or Ulta sells an electric one from Grande Cosmetics.

Omg sameeee! I used to use a lash curler but recently the rubber part of the curler came off and I saw how many lashes had been pulled out and stopped using immediately!
I now use my finger to press the lashes up and I feel like the warmth helps get a slight curl going. Then use the essence lash princess, the purple one. I’ve just bought their primer to try too.
I’ve bought high end mascaras (bare minerals, Mac, Lancôme) and essence by far give the most lasting curl for me
I have also tried lash lifts and they are great if you get a good person doing it-I’ve has both amazing and average results
