🙁 When I put the foundation on for the first time, it’s fine. I have the impression that it brings out my pores and is damaged on certain parts of the face especially on the cheeks a little on the side of the nose . I have oily combination skin and I think maybe that’s just that? I usually wear such a full coverage foundation. I love sleepless nights, but wanted to try something that people seem recommend and which is good for summer. I didn’t want my foundation to be too heavy but it makes me feel like I just have to not look like it’s peeling. Your suggestions would be much appreciated. J ‘ve tried different shades, Dior and Estée Lauder, I refuse to try another one as this one does not come with all my foundations.
What primer are you using Esteé Lauder? I have an oily combo skin too and I felt like the elf poreless putty primer was working well with the foundation on my skin. I feel like most of the times it’s not just the foundation but the foundation primer combo that makes the difference.
Are you talking about DoubleWear? What do you mean, it “gets ruined”? Skin prep is really important to making your foundation look as good as possible. Personally, I don’t do primer, but I do make sure that my skin is well hydrated, since DoubleWear is somewhat drying and very long-lasting. I’ve had success with Cerave and Embryolisse lotion underneath DoubleWear, just make sure to give it at least 5 minutes to dry fully before you apply foundation.
If the foundation is making your skin look cracked or flaky, you need more hydration and exfoliation. Personally I find that DoubleWear stands up to oily skin really well—you can just blot as needed and the makeup will stay in place.

Do you have the regular double wear or double wear waterfresh? The waterfresh is very light, full coverage and still moisturizing! For some people the regular waterfresh is too heavy. I would also recommend using moisturizer and/or primer (and incredible and I say incredible primer is Estee Lauder the smoother, I swear! They have a sample version for around 20 usd) and for oily skin I would use a bit of powder (e.g. too faced peach perfect, smells like peach too😍). And I love using the all nighter setting spray by urban decay!
I’ve been using the It Cosmetics foundation, I think it’s called Your Skin But Better? And it’s so light but full coverage at the same time. I don’t know how that works. But my acne is horrible and it feels nice.
Double wear does the same thing on my skin, it just doesn’t look right to be honest. I’d suggest trying a primer meant for oil control underneath as well as using the allnighter setting spray! Also try setting your entire face with translucent setting powder right after you apply the foundation, it won’t add coverage but will make your makeup last longer and smooth certain parts over, going in with a setting spray after this will eliminate any powderiness.
