Hello makeup artists! I would like some advice on finding a new foundation. I’ve been using NYX Total Control Drop in porcelain for a few years, it’s a perfect color fit (I have very cool toned skin that can be delicate) but I’m not that impressed lately! I have acne on and off and when I do this stuff makes my skin look really dry and mushy no matter how I hydrate or like it. My budget has increased since the last time I went looking for foundations and I’m looking for something brighter and medium coverage. I’ve done tons of video reading / watching and thinking about NARS Sheer Glow, but I’m open to all brands. I would love to hear your personal experiences or suggestions š Thanks!
I personally love nars sheer glow! I also love the nars soft matte. The sheer glow definitely has less coverage and a more natural finish. I have oily skin and I still love the finish of it. It doesnāt cake at all for me! Iād recommend both, but for a lighter coverage definitely the sheer glow. Iām not too sure on the shades when it comes to being pale and cool toned, but they have a decent shade range so hopefully you could find a perfect match!
I recommend Dior Forever Foundation especially if you have cool pink undertones. I use their powder one and I love it. Doesnāt look cakey at all in your face. A bonus it had a nice smell thatās not overwhelming. Their liquid one seems pretty good too. (I only tried some of my momās for color matching)
My favorite for natural medium coverage on my dry leaning acne prone skin is Clinique Even Better.
