So I own a lot of makeup and various shades of lipsticks and glosses. However, I don’t own good quality red opaque lipsticks and was wondering if I could get any suggestions on which ones I should buy ?? I prefer suggestions on the best red lipsticks with blue tones because they give a whiter smile and the red tint shouldn’t be too dark, more like a “lady in red” or like a classic red. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. X

A classic red lip is different for every skin tone, so even suggesting a great cool or blue toned red that works for me, might not work for you. When I wanted a red lippie for a trip, I went to Sephora and swatched a bunch in person.

My favorite reds come from Nars and Chanel with Mac being a close third, but you need to test these out for yourself, saw your post about your skintone, so this is a bit more tricky than you’d think. You may not pull off a lot of the cooler tone (blue reds) you’re asking about.
I’d suggest going to Ulta or even Walmart and picking up a few cheap lipsticks in various shades, trying those on at home to see how you feel, and then matching them to similar shades with higher quality lipsticks.
I really like Besame Victory Red. It’s a good statement red with a neutral undertone that lasts really well.
I am an NC35 olive person. My only red lipstick is the Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Amplified lipstick in the shade RD 163. The good thing about Shu Uemura is that the shades are available in different finishes. I am in Asia so this was easily available to me.
