Some time ago I bought the Surratt Autographic eyeliner pen. It is a brush tip pen and it is refillable. They sell the refills for $ 18 a cartridge, and they last quite a long time. I liked the idea of โโa refillable pen because it could help me reduce waste. However, I recently started to wonder, is it really hygienic to keep using the same brush near your eyes for a long time? Would it be safer to go back to a brand where I buy a new pen every time? If anyone here has any knowledge about this, I would really appreciate it!

iโve never used a refillable pen, but wouldnโt you be able to clean and sanitize it after you take out the empty cartridge and before you put in the new one? if youโre able to do that i think it would be ok.
How does it cut back on waste if you’re buying a new plastic piece that has the same specs as a new eyeliner pen? You might as well buy a new eyeliner. You wouldn’t have to worry about a contaminated brush and you’re creating the same amount of waste.
