I love the look of skin with a dab of oil, whether it’s rose hips or an oil-based serum. But my mascara (wtp) starts to melt after a few hours if I use any moisturizer other than the light water-based ones near my eyes. And I can’t help but hydrate my eye area because my skin is super dry. So now I’m curious: How do people maintain flawless eye makeup after applying facial oil?
You could try a tubing mascara such as No7 Stay Perfect. It forms a tube around each lash so you don’t end up with panda eyes. If a tube falls off you just flick it away. I wash my face with a magic eraser flannel and water only and it removes the mascara just fine. Dont be put off by the word tubes. On your lashes it looks exactly like any mascara. Other than that I would suggest taking the oil up only as far as your cheekbones and not putting oil under your eyes. I totally agree with you though about face oil as it really does make such a difference.

i honestly only use face oil at night for that reason.. it makes sense, too. people use oil to remove makeup, ya know?
Okay. This has been my mission for the past year. I found one, just one thing that worked. Clear hard waterproof eyebrow gel. I use the NYX control freak brow gel. Focus the most of the product on the tip of the eyelash and use a little on the lower part.
I’ve tried tubing mascaras, waterproof, all sorts of primers and this is the only thing that has stopped my mascara from transfering.
I use lancome monsieur big waterproof mascara with NYX control freak eyebrow gel
