In an effort to convince myself that I don’t need the colourpop hocus Pocus palette, I have compiled all of my colourpop eyeshadows
These eyeshadows are from the following colourpop palettes:
• So Jaded
• lilac you a lot
• strawberry shake
• Frozen 2
To be fair, doing this certainly helped me ease my craving for the “gather round sisters” palette because there are so many dupes, especially from the so jaded palette. That being said I still want it, but have promised myself that I will wait and swatch it in the store before I act on it. I certainly love the packaging and the color story and am a big fan of the movie. My birthday is coming up so I might just go for it.
That gold one at the top in particular looks gorgeous! As do most of them tbh, I wish we could get colourpop in the U.K. without extortionate shipping 🙁

You definitely don’t need it! It’s a packaging gimmick more than an actually special product
No shade but honestly some of your collection could make a better hocus pocus palette than what Colourpop came up with
Ah, so satisfying 😌 The Periodic Table of shadow 😂❤ I do think seeing your collection like this helps a lot to actually know if you CAN dupe a palette out… And then, following palette tutorials with your own stash resolves any remaining FOMO, for me at least ☺ Of course, if you truly feel you’ll enjoy the actual palette greatly, that’s your choice, as well! 😌

Edited to fix a word and add: That being said, the palette is nice but I kinda wish that they had brighter colours in it. If you do purchase, love to see swatches!!

I had to talk myself out of this set. I’ve been on a no-buy for the last year because I have more makeup than I will ever use. (Mostly more eyeshadow palettes than I will ever use.)
But these limited edition launches are killing me this year. I read a review about this particular launch that said it wasn’t up to normal Colourpop standards. But I also still felt great disappointment that it was sold out when I went to check on pricing again.
I’m proud of myself because I went and put it in my cart and then thought about it long enough that they sold out. When I really looked at the colors I realized that aside from that very deep violet color, I already own very similar colors to many of those or I’d never use them. The packaging is nifty, but I have a lot of eye palettes already and I don’t even wear makeup that often anymore.
How would you compare Colourpop eyeshadows to other brands? I live in Europe and I really like the looks of Colourpop palettes and swatches, but shipping expenses/customs would be extremely high and some friends of mine told me that the pigments they use are not always compliant with EU regulations and sometimes their products are really hard to remove.
Most of my eyeshadows are Too Faced or Urban Decay.

I turned around and got the Sydney Grace Autumn’s Reign bundle in response to CP. I’m tired of CP discontinuing things constantly and SG has a lot more consistent quality by comparison so this is my way of saying F U to CP. I have 150 of their singles before they started discontinuing those.

What a gorgeous array of shades! I think if you were to purchase the hocus pocus palette, it would go very complimentary to your current collection. Like it fills out more of the gradient you already got if that makes sense
