I know I’m very late, but I finally broke down and bought this. I had problems with wrinkling and powder settling in my wrinkles under the eyes. So what are your proven application techniques to minimize powder settling in your fine lines ???
Work in light layers. Very little powder is enough to set well primed eyes. Make sure that you’ve moisturized and allowed it to sit before you apply your concealer. Then light layers until you receive the coverage that you want from your concealer of choice. I only apply where there’s actual darkness and then blend lightly with my finger until it’s perfect. Then a light dusting of LM setting powder with a fluffy brush looking up into a mirror.
A few things helped with my creasing. I don’t put concealer or foundation all the way up to my lower eyelid, I will only cover right where the under eyes are dark. I also stopped baking, I will take only a little bit of powder on a fluffy brush and gently set. Interested in hearing other techniques!
Love LM setting powder! I make sure to moisture really well but also let it dry. I then use Tatcha Silk Canvas in my fine line areas. Concealer next and then powder. I use a very lightly damp sponge to apply with very minimal amount of product and it’s perfect! If you’re still having issues with it after trying different ways then you might need a more fine powder like Marc Jacobs. Good Luck!
Laura Mercier didn’t work for me at all. The powder was really drying and all the fine lines were even more prominent.
LM powder has sulfates in it which increase early aging… I used it too until I realized this and what it was doing to my skin. Opted for the Ilia powder instead and love it! No creasing with this one.
I’ve been using this stuff for years. Now that I’m older and have more lines, I find it best to tap a tiny bit into the lid, and swirl a huge fluffy brush around, and then tap off some of it back into the lid. Then I lightly dot the end of the bristles all over the face where I need it before very very gently blending. Basically, less product is more and use a gentle hand.
