🔎 REVIEW:
🔸️Patchiness: no patchiness
🔸️Blendability: easy to blend out
🔸️Fallout: experienced no fallout
🔸️Shade Variance: this palette has a nice ‘light-to-dark’ gradient. There is a range of ‘neutral transition shades’ for a spectrum of skintones.
🔸️Formula:
Mattes: the mattes were decent enough! I didn’t overly struggle with them at all, but I did have to work with them. They blended just fine with a little bit of effort. I found that they don’t really layer very well. It’s almost like the bottom shade saturates the skin sooo much with pigment, that the skin is unable to accept the pigment of the second color – which makes it a hassle trying to do a gradient.
Soft Shimmers: these were a very nice formula, but my only complaint is that every shade in this ‘soft shimmer’ category is the same exact tone. You don’t really get a huge variety of options if you want to use this formula. It’s also NOT bold, but definitely as described…’soft’.
Foils: these are hands-down – WHY the palette is worth the money. Now, these shades are absolutely stunning! They work so super good (even with a brush!). You get a nice, opaque placement of foiled color wherever you want it! Plus, the included shade range in the foils is much more various.
🔸️Packaging: kind of basic, but it gets the job done & let’s me know which palette it is quickly.
🔸️Recommendation: I believe this palette is meant to dupe the Natasha Denona ‘Gold’ Palette (which I don’t have). I’ve tried Milani’s old formula, & I REALLY like the new one a lot better, but I think the mattes need a little enhancement. I think this color-story gives you a beautiful, polished look that anybody can pull off! The price per shade is ‘excellent’. Each shadow pan holds a WAY below average amount of shadow. I do not think anybody would find difficulty in storing this palette. I am keeping this in my collection.
