🔎 REVIEW:
🔸️Patchiness: no patchiness
🔸️Blendability: very easy to blend out
🔸️Fallout: experienced slight fallout, the most being from metallic shade ‘Memory’
🔸️Shade Variance: this palette has a nice ‘light-to-dark’ gradient. There are some traditional ‘neutral transition’ shades for a range of skintones.
🔸️Formula:
Mattes: these reallllly impressed me. As soon as I began applying it, the pigment was INTENSE. I was a little apprehensive that I would never get it to blend out due to the immense pigment. However, THIS formula blended easier than 95% of my palettes. It was incredibly easy. They build up really nice & I had no issues layering neighbor shades.
Sequins: these shadows perform just like the ‘matte’ formula, except it has little pin-point glitter specks in it. I cannot get the glitter to adhere to my lid when blending these shadows out – it just kind of dusts itself away. The only way I can make these work as intended is by using a wet brush & directly packing into position.
Metallics: ah, a lovely metallic formula. Creamy to the touch, each one was crafted with a solid base pigment. These are great to use as solo blend-out shades or built into a dramatic look. They are multifunctional.
Glitters: my FAVORITE glitters are the WithLove Cosmetics pressed glitters, & those are my standard that I compare all pressed glitters to. Comparatively, these are the second best glitters in my collection. They are smooth, but have some ‘stick’ to them, so you don’t necessarily need to use a glitter adhesive. I really like that you can pack these on for a sparkly look, or you can slowly disperse the glitter for a less-impactful effect.
Matte Black: every time there’s a matte black in a palette, I specifically like to comment on it. This matte black is hands-down the BEST matte black in my collection. It’s not patchy, there’s no fall-out, the color has so much brilliancy to it & it shows up true-to-color. It’s very easy to work with, & a little extends quite a long way.
🔸️Packaging: I personally think this packaging is nice. It’s simple & to-the-point. Plus, the clarity of the mirror inside is magnificent!
🔸️Recommendation: I know I just did a smokey eye, but when I look at this color-story – it cries out ‘Smokey Eye’ to me! Plus, I really wanted to deep-dive into the multi-formula complexities. There are unlimited options with this palette, & it’s a LOT of fun to play with. The price per shade is ‘excellent’. Each shadow pan holds an average amount of shadow. Each pressed glitter holds a below-average amount of product. I do not think anybody would find difficulty in storing this palette. I am keeping this in my collection.
