I have a few problems: 1. HOW DOES EVERYBODY EYELINE? 2. I only want regular makeup. Like no eyes, lips or fancy outline. I just want to give myself great skin and eyeliner. So would I just do a concealer and blush? What are the best products? My eyes don’t wear good makeup, but they need it.
Regarding the eyeliner question: practice practice practice. Everyday. Start with a brown Kajal pencil (bc black can look too harsh) and work your way up. I would say gel liner with a brush is the most difficult, next liquid liner, then felttip liner and easiest are pencils bc they create more of a softer line. Also: Watch Tutorials and focus on how they hold they’re arms and wrists besides how they draw the line. I noticed that friends who struggle with liner are always very stiff in their arm joints.
And last but not least: HAVE FUN WITH YOUR MAKEUP 😄😄
Eyeliner is like 5% a good quality product and then 95% practice. Well, maybe 50-50. But really a LOT of practice.
1. Practice
2. Maybe a BB cream. I find Maybelline Age Rewind concealer works well for under the eyes
What’s your eye shape? You could do some YouTube searches for eyeliner based on your shape to get some ideas. I think BB creams or medium coverage concealers can be good for just spot touch ups like under the eyes and blemishes, etc. so you don’t have to do a full face.
Start small. Don’t go in for the wing right off the bat. Just start by tracing your eye and work up to trying other shapes as you get more comfortable
for simple face makeup , i would say go for a bb cream or tinted moisturizer, also i think blush is an underrated staple it brings life back to the face
For eyeliner I use a really good angled liner brush, a black eyeshadow and either a setting spray or just water. Basically make a little paste with the black eyeshadow and a drop of water and it’s such an easier consistency to work with. It is totally not waterproof though so bare that in mind but I find it WAY easier to get a very thin line
If you have some dark eyeshadow already, you can always practice soft wing shapes with that. The greatness of the egirl trend is that so many different styles of wing are popular, so you can try a few out every night with some eyeshadow until you like one, and keep refining it with sharper defined products.
If your undereyes are having issue taking product, maybe they are too dry or too oily? Not sure your skin type, but consider what prep steps in skincare you could do (always moisturize, regardless of skin type!) before popping on some concealer. I know for me, I don’t do an all over, foundation or BB cream, and just do a bit of concealer, then however much blush I am feeling that day (and for me, highlighter because I love it!)

Girl I’m in the same boat as you. I have hooded eyes so my eyeliner almost never works and I still have no idea how to the bat eye technique.
I like loreal infallible eyeliner, but it’s water proof so you’re gonna need to buy water proof make up remover. Here’s a couple tips: half close your eyes and when draw, reach up with your other hand and pull your eyelid skin taught! The draw close to the lash line.
If your skin is pretty blemish free and you are younger, I know people who really like the Fitme line from maybeline. I’m obsessed with their urban dream foundation because it’s got more coverage and 50spf but yet DOES NOT smell like sunscreen!!!
I also like nyx butter gloss.
For eyes, get a brown deeper than your skin and then a lighter sparkly shade. Put the deeper color in the crease and the lighter one on your lid to creat some depth.
Remember to have fun! If it’s not fun don’t do it.Good luck 👍
So, I have super shaky hands (thanks to a dazzling combination of anxiety and anemia) so I have 2 strategies depending on what I’m trying to do, which follow a similar approach.
1) if I’m going for just a small, everyday kinda wing, I take my liner and draw a tiny line, following the directions of my lower lashline, up to a point where it’s parallel with my crease, maybe half a centimeter at most, and then connect it with the rest of my liner. I might go and make both sides a little sharper if I want, but it’s pretty foolproof and helps me make sure they’re even.
2) if I’m going for a medium/larger wing, I use a flat brush, one with a squared-off end that’s really precise (a flat angled brush will work too) and legit just coat the tips in a tiny bit of liner, (I use a liquid liner, so I just kinda brush it on the wand) and then tap the brush from the corner of my eye outward, following the direction of my lower lashline. I then go over the line with my liner, and connect it with the rest of my eye, sometimes just dipping the brush again if I’m having a really bad day.
Extra special 3rd way if it’s just one of those days) wet the tip of your flat brush with setting spray (I spray into the cap so I don’t waste it, and dip as I go) and dip it into the dark shadow of your choice. Use this as your liner and just line it up with the lower lashline and you’re good to go!
I hope that’s clear enough, but that’s how I’ve made my liner look really good!
Eyeliner is difficult, so I totally understand! My wings were saved by the kind of eyeliner that’s like a felt-tipped marker. Any brand, just get that nice thin felt tip. It makes it so easy, and helps get those nice clean lines.
I basically turn it backwards and stamp it onto my eye for a wing, and then fill in.
All those other liquids end up way too messy and I can’t get clean lines. I also like the gel pencils for my bottom water line.
