I just wanted a second to declaim. I have been shopping at Sephora religiously for 6 years. 4 of those years I was VIB, and 1 of those years I was Red. Due to the pandemic I was unable to do my shopping there and forgot to receive my birthday present this year. Last night I went online and filled my basket with tons of freebies and finally went to redeem some of my points (I racked up almost 5k points I think) and was shocked to see that my points were 0. I have been to the Sephora forums and this happens to a ton of people – apparently points disappear after a year of inactivity. I had kept these stitches for years and am so heartbroken that they are gone. Especially since they disappeared during Covid, when I couldn’t buy any new products, and now that I can, there’s no way I can shop at Sephora. I’ve spent thousands of dollars there and if that’s how they treat loyal customers, I’m happy to run my business directly to vendor sites, which I do now. Time to look at Ulta brands too, I guess 🤷🏻♀️
Not super helpful for you, but I remember getting an email a month or two ago saying that any unsed points were going to be deleted by a specific date. Basically a use them or lose them type of deal. Maybe you didn’t get or see that email but I know for sure I saw it
Are you able to contact them regarding this? Does that get anywhere?
That sucks. I’ve been told in the store that they only expire in a year if you haven’t purchased anything. I didn’t know it wasn’t common knowledge.
Ulta did that to my points too lol
Oof 🙁 maybe they can start making exceptions for the past year since covid ruined everything 😔
Does Sephora still have that customer service number for Rouge members? I called it a few years ago and they treated me really nicely
